These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of StoicPath (“the app,” “we,” “us”), a mobile app for learning Stoicism, built and maintained by the StoicPath development team. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
StoicPath offers structured programs, audio lessons, articles, challenges, reflections, and progress tracking to help you learn and practice Stoicism. The app is currently free to use. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and if we introduce paid features in the future, we’ll update these Terms first.
To use the app you sign in with your Apple or Google account. You’re responsible for keeping access to that account secure and for the activity that happens under your StoicPath account. Please provide accurate information and let us know if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
You agree to use StoicPath for your own personal, non-commercial learning, and not to:
Reflections and any other text you write in the app belong to you. We store them so the app can show them back to you, and we don’t claim ownership of them. You’re responsible for what you write, and you can delete your content by deleting your account. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled.
The app itself — its lessons, audio, text, design, logo, and name — is owned by StoicPath or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Quotations from historical Stoic authors are used for educational purposes. We grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable license to use the app for its intended purpose. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
StoicPath relies on third-party services to operate, including Google Firebase (sign-in, database, analytics, and crash reporting), Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google, and the app stores that distribute the app. Your use of the app also relies on your device and internet connection. These third parties have their own terms and privacy policies, and we’re not responsible for their services.
StoicPath is provided for general educational and self-reflection purposes only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified professional. If you are struggling with your mental health or in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services. You rely on the app’s content at your own discretion.
The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app.
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time from the Profile screen. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or misuse the app. Some sections of these Terms, by their nature, continue to apply after your access ends (for example, intellectual property and limitation of liability).
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Where you have mandatory consumer-protection rights under the laws of your country of residence, nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
